Cheap soundbar deals to check out in October 2021
High-quality soundbars don’t usually go on sale, but on rare occasions, you can find a strong and high-quality soundbar deal that you can’t miss. We’ve done the hard work for you, finding the best cheap soundbar deals and high quality soundbar sales.
Our soundbar deals include top brands like Sony, LG and Yamaha. If you’re concerned about price versus quality, we’ve found that some of the cheapest soundbars on the market can still provide a decent level of clarity and sound in your living room on a scale that a regular TV can’t.
In general, soundbar deals are best for major commercial events like Black Friday or Amazon Prime Day, which usually take place in November and July respectively. That said, good deals pop up all year round, so if you happen to miss a retail event, it’s not a big deal.
Once you get your hands on a new soundbar, the results speak for themselves. But trying to dig around and find the best soundbar deal right now can be a long slog. That’s because the world of soundbars and audio products in general is filled with a random series of numbers – the Vizio SB-3830-D0 38-inch soundbar, anyone?
There are also many drastic price differences that can be overwhelming even for the most seasoned audiophiles. But don’t worry, this is where we come in.
What is the best soundbar deal?
As you might expect, the answer to this question will be different for everyone.
Some people are fine with a standard soundbar, which means no subwoofer and no streaming capabilities. Others may want to sub but no streaming. There are also those who might want all of the above, plus two satellite speakers. This is a situation where miles can vary.
That said, we can give you some good ideas on what to look for and where to find these great deals when they come out.
For most people, you really only need the basic package: a soundbar with a digital audio cable input that should connect to most modern TVs. You can be a little tricky with HDMI pass-throughs, RCA inputs, and 3.5mm jacks, but sometimes basic is better. Of course, we also recommend looking for soundbars with a subwoofer attached, so you get the full range of sound from your favorite TV shows and movies, not just the highs and mids.
There are plenty of soundbars to choose from, with more arriving every week, so without further ado, here are the best cheap soundbar deals we’ve found this month.
The best deals on cheap soundbars
The Yamaha SR-B20A soundbar was launched in 2020 to replace the popular 2017 YAS-107. It may be slightly more expensive than its predecessor, but the Yamaha SR-B20A has been refined enough to justify the increase. Its compact chassis houses a pair of 75mm bass drivers, two 55mm mid-range drivers positioned at either end of the soundbar, and a pair of downward facing dual 25mm tweeters.
It’s worth noting that the Yamaha SR-B20A excels at a very detailed midrange – which is great news if you like dialogue-heavy movies. Of course, you won’t benefit from the Dolby Atmos sound found in more expensive soundbars, but the SR-B20A offers DTS Virtual:X 3D for 3D surround sound, which is impressive in itself.
If you just want to enhance your TV’s native sound, the Yamaha SR-B20A soundbar is the cost-effective way to do just that.

The Roku Streambar is like a TV makeover. Not only will it amplify the sound of your TV with fuller, clearer sound, but it will also imbue it with 4K/HDR streaming. Measuring just 14 inches wide, the Roku Streambar is a fantastic choice for anyone living in an apartment or dorm room.
Wireless connectivity options include Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. With a single USB port, a wired Ethernet connection is also possible. In terms of audio, the Roku Streambar is very good, providing clear dialogue and equalizing audio in commercials. Bass is lacking, but this can be remedied by purchasing the Roku subwoofer and rear speaker kits (sold separately).
If you need both a soundbar and a streaming device – but you’re limited on space and on a tight budget – the Roku Streambar is your best bet.

The Razer Leviathan may be an older model that’s geared towards gaming, but it’s actually a really smart soundbar that costs less than most TVs – and will make those TVs sound a whole lot better.
Razer’s audio monster doesn’t have the most power per inch at just 30 watts, but we really liked how low it could go with the accompanying subwoofer. Also, while the other speakers on this list may not even try surround sound, Razer gives it a shot at studying and actually does a decent job with it.
The Razer Leviathan may not be as good as a true 7.1 system, but try to find one for under $199 / £159. You’re getting a fantastic opportunity here.

The LG SK8Y may not be the newest model on the market, but it’s still a great value soundbar. The soundbar has one of the most attractive designs we’ve seen; fits neatly under the TV. The companion sub, meanwhile, has a more simple facade and can be placed just behind the sofa or against the side wall.
The sound quality and flexibility of the LG SK8Y source are worth what you pay for here and even more. In addition to Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, there is also Chromecast support and Google Assistant control. The display on the soundbar isn’t too shabby either.
Unfortunately this model is no longer available in the UK. However, if you’re in the States, grab the LG SK8Y at a bargain price while you can.
